Mrs. Keri Rainone

Keri Rainone holds a master’s degree in Literacy from Providence College, where her research focused on learning through "free play." Studies show that children who learn through play experience significant brain growth, particularly in areas related to emotions, planning, and problem-solving. While studying, she taught Pre-K through Second grade students literacy readiness through play-based activities, which build on each child's developing skills.

Keri is also an alumna of Rhode Island College, where she earned a B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in psychology. Over the past 27 years, she has taught Pre-K through Grade 6 in both Rhode Island public schools and Florida private schools. Most recently, she served at an international Nord Anglia school, where she promoted academic play and creativity, helping young learners build confidence and resilience.

Keri holds teaching certificates in Pre-K through Grade 12 including Elementary Education, English and Literacy. She is also specially trained in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), which provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities or special needs. Keri has worked in a variety of settings including public and private schools, preschool, homecare, and private practice. Her passion is supporting children and families through academic play, helping young learners develop curiosity, language, and social-emotional skills.

Keri currently resides in the East Village of New York City with her husband and two children. Prior to moving to NYC, she lived in South Florida.
